Biography and positions :

Professor Abdelhalim CHAABANE received his Ph.D. in Electronics in 2017 from Ferhat Abbas University, Sétif-1, Algeria, where his research focused on the design of high-performance antennas. He further qualified to lead advanced research programs by obtaining his Habilitation (HDR) in 2020.

He began his academic career in 2007 as an Assistant Lecturer at the University of 8 Mai 1945 in Guelma, Algeria, where he remained until 2025. During his tenure at the university of Guelma, he advanced to the rank of Full Professor and served as the Director of the Telecommunications Laboratory. Professor Abdelhalim Chaabane is now affiliated with Ferhat Abbas University, Sétif-1.

His research encompasses a broad spectrum of innovative topics in telecommunications and electronics, with a primary focus on the design and development of advanced antennas for diverse wireless applications. His recent work includes the development of high-gain, wideband millimeter-wave antennas, radar systems, and pioneering solutions for biomedical engineering. He is dedicated to advancing antenna technologies and integrating them into modern communication and healthcare systems.

In addition to his research, Professor Abdelhalim Chaabane is committed to mentoring and supervising the next generation of scientists, fostering innovation and expertise in the field.

As part of his community service, Professor Abdelhalim Chaabane has actively contributed to both the academic and research communities. His involvement also included the design and evaluation of entrance examinations for third-cycle training programs in telecommunications at several universities, including the University of 8 May 1945, Guelma (2020–2021), and Ziane Achour University of Djelfa (2021–2022).
